Bash for the Bush was a charity fundraiser night for the Australian bushfire crisis recovery effort. Held at the East Putney Tavern in London with live music, a luxury raffle and an afterparty at Le Fez nightclub. All funds raised were split between two charities: WIRES Wildlife Rescue and Headspace Australia.
I designed the koala face icon to provide a mascot for the event that would be emotionally resonant but still cute and loveable. The yellow and black colour scheme was inspired by image of the 'bushfire haze' that descended over large swathes of Australia, tinting everyday life strange shades of muddy yellow and orange.
Bash for the Bush raised over £2,226 for WIRES and Headspace, thanks to generosity of everyone who attended.
